Campus Outreach Atlanta found it’s start in 1999

Our mission is to engage students with the message of Jesus and develop multiplying, kingdom leaders on the campus for the sake of community and global transformation.

The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.
— Matthew 9:37-38

What god has made possible

40 Years of Ministry

Campus Outreach began as the dream of a local church pastor in Birmingham, AL to reach college students at smaller campuses traditionally underserved by campus ministries. In 1978 an evangelistic outreach began to students at Samford University. The ministry quickly spread as students transferred to nearby colleges to pursue the vision of reaching students on campuses where there was no current evangelistic work underway.

94 Campuses

CO began at Samford and within a couple of years began to expand to new campuses. Strong connections in each community and good relationships with local churches and campus administrations provided fertile ground for continued growth. By 1988, CO had expanded to 9 campuses with full time staff around the state of Alabama and into Georgia. Now CO is on 94 campuses across the country.

5 continents

In 1989 some opportunities to expand into Cross Cultural environments became a reality. Campus Outreach staff moved to Bangkok, Thailand and began ministering to Thai college and university students. Now international ministries exist on five different continents and 11 countries.

Exponential Growth

Since 1978, God has enabled over 55,000 students to encounter the gospel of Jesus Christ at evangelistic events, provided intensive leadership training to over 30,000 young leaders, and deployed over 15,000 alumni into a lifetime of service to Christ.
